Juicers Vs Food Processors

!±8± Juicers Vs Food Processors

If you have a food processor, why would you need a juicer? And, vice versa, if you have a juicer, why would you want to invest in a food processor? Though they can seem synonymous at first, it is soon apparent that each has specific jobs the other cannot do.

To quickly summarize their differences, a juicer smashes and separates foods, saving the juice and spitting out all the excess. A food processor, on the other hand, grinds, slices, chops, and grates foods-but does not separate foods.

Juicer functions

Living true to its name, a juicer's only function is to squeeze the juice out of fruits and vegetables. There will be two finished products. The juice, which the juicer has squished out. And the pulp, which is the fleshy portion of the food leftover after the juice is taken out.

Many fruits and vegetables can be juiced with their skins still on, even watermelons. It is recommended, though, that foods with bitter outer layers, such as oranges, be grated down to remove the outer rind to improve the juice flavor.

Types of juicers

Juicers come in different models, depending on what specific juicing function you need. Some are extremely basic. For instance, the citrus juicer, which can even be plastic and is operated only by yourself. Set a sliced orange on the juicer point, twist and push down, and the juice is collected in a glass underneath.

Other juicers are more complex and, fortunately, use electricity to function. There are centrifugal, masticating, and triturating juicers. These fall under juice extractors. Extractors not only juice, as the little citrus juicer does, but they also separate the juice from the pulp.

A centrifugal juicer has blades which first cut up the food into tiny bits. Then it spins the remaining pulp around until all the juice is removed.

A masticating juicer crushes the food with "teeth" before pushing the juice through a screen. The screen allows the juice to flow easily through, leaving the pulp to be pushed out the opposite direction.

Finally, a triturating juicer uses gears to crush the food. The juice flows out holes designed for the purpose, while the fleshy matter gets pushed over the top of the gears. Typically, triturating juicers are the most effective-and most expensive-juicers available.

Food processor functions

Food processors, on the other hand, do not separate foods and do not work with liquid. While with a juicer, the food is divided, a food processor leaves its foods chopped-but still together.

Food processors have many functions. They chop, grind, grate, knead, slice, shave, puree, and crush-to mention a few. They can even have french fry slicers.

Types of food processors

The types of actual food processor are not as varied as juicers. There are hand-powered, usually for quick jobs, such as chopping up a small amount of onion. Most are powered by electricity, though. It is the blade attachments which makes a food processor. Of course, some processors are more powerful than others, and some do models do not have certain blades which others do not have. Overall, though, the significant differences in food processors lie in their blades.

The main blade which comes with a food process is an s-shaped blade, designed to do the basic functions of slicing. Additional blades or discs are used to knead various doughs, from pizza to bread. Some can whisk eggs for delectable meringues, while others finely grind up spices.

Great Recipes For Juicing in 6 Steps

!±8± Great Recipes For Juicing in 6 Steps

Many of us who are new to juicing flounder when it comes to finding good recipes for juicing. Well, now that you've discovered juicing, it's time to discuss what to juice.

You may have already decided that you want to get into juicing. You have probably read about the benefits, including how you can

• lose weight
• boost your energy levels
• cleanse and detoxify your body
• treat specific illnesses and diseases
• and have a lot of fun in the process!

You may even have bought a juicer already, and be wondering what you can actually put in it. Which fruit and vegetables work together? Which ones will produce good results and which will result in a mushy drink which you will find unpalatable.

Well, the good news is that there are many excellent resources to guide you along the path to successful and delicious juices. But before you dive in, there are several factors which you should consider.

1. Type of juicer.

Not all juicers are created equal. If you have already bought a juicer, it is worth getting to know how well it works with different produce.

Juicers typically fall into three categories:

Masticating
Centrifugal
Triturating (twin gear)

The masticating type operates at slow speeds and is very efficient at extracting the last drop from fruits and vegetables. It is efficient at breaking down the plant's cell walls, releasing the maximum quantity of enzymes, vitamins, trace minerals and other nutrients. Masticating juicers are often used for wheatgrass for this reason.

The centrifugal type first uses a sharp blade (or set of blades) in the bottom of a basket to shred the produce and then forces it through a strainer by rotating at very high speed. The majority of juicers sold on the market fall into this category. Whilst quite efficient at extracting the juice, the machine creates quite a lot of heat which can damage or destroy some of the nutrients. The high speeds can also create foam or froth which tends to accelerate the oxidization process, causing the juice to go off more quickly.

Triturating juicers first crush the produce and then press out the juice. They operate at lower speeds and therefore produce less heat. Although it takes longer to juice using this type of machine, they are particularly efficient at processing leafy greens, sprouts and root vegetables which are difficult to juice using a centrifugal juicer.

So, although centrifugal juicers are excellent for most domestic uses, producing lots of juice relatively quickly, if you are considering juicing a lot of leafy green vegetables or wheatgrass, you may want to consider one of the other types.

2. Timing.

The living enzymes and other nutrients in the juice tend to deteriorate over time. This process can happen within a few hours. Even if refrigerated or sealed in airtight containers, the maximum benefit will start to reduce over a very short timeframe (often just an hour or two depending on the ingredients used and the temperature at which you keep the juice).

So bear that in mind when planning your recipes: you will get the best out of your fresh fruit and veggies if you consume the juice immediately.

3. Produce combination.

On the whole, you will find that the best recipes for juicing come from a combination of mostly vegetables with a little fruit thrown in. Fruit tends to contain more sugar, which is not usually desirable in a healthy nutrition plan.

4. Taste and color: exhilarate the senses!

Experiment with what you like, but also throw in small quantities of what you wouldn't normally eat. For instance, if you hate whole carrots, include a few in your juices - they taste completely different when juiced! This is a great way of ensuring that you get a good variety of nutrients which you may not always achieve in your normal diet.

Vary color as well. Different colors in plant life normally indicate different nutrients. They also look great! For a beautiful recipe, try a Beet and Carrot Bolero:

2 x beets
2 x carrots
1 x apple

Juice the ingredients together. Add an inch of ginger if you like some extra zing!

5. Start simply.

Carrots and apples are wonderful, simple ingredients which are readily available all year round. Try a simple combination, such as a Carrot Charmer:

6 x medium carrots
2 x Golden Delicious apples

Just juice together and enjoy!

For a great digestive aid, juice 6 x carrots with a handful of spinach. For an energy boost, try 6 x carrots and a handful of parsley.

As your experience grows, try adding other ingredients that you have in the fridge. Celery, cucumber, kale, pineapple, limes, lemons, celery, and oranges will all combine beautifully with the other ingredients we have already tried.

6. Other guidelines.

• Check out the many web sites and books on the subject for additional recipes for juicing.
• Buy organic produce whenever you can.
• Always wash produce before juicing.
• Pick ripe, firm fruit and vegetables.
• Try to use local produce in season: this will ensure variety throughout the year, less travel time from the country of origin (think about the fuel consumed) and will support your local economy.
• Avoid putting avocados or bananas in your juicer - they don't produce much juice and may clog the machine. Add them to the juice in a blender instead.
• Always rinse your mouth out with water after consuming fruit juice - the acid can damage the emulsion on your teeth.

Confused About Which Juicer To Buy?

!±8± Confused About Which Juicer To Buy?

Welcome to the best juicer reviews, the ultimate place to learn all you need to know about Juicers. To the average person, all juicers are the same; they separate the juice from the solid such as fruits, vegetables, and wheatgrass. But the facts are, as far as juicing is concern, fruits and vegetables have different fiber and cell walls qualities. Therefore, one method of juicing that works for one Juicer may not work as well for other juicers. Why? Because fruits have softer cell walls, and need a gentler juicing method. While on the other hand, vegetables have much tougher cell walls and need a more aggressive juicing method than fruit does.

Therefore as a warning, don't rush out to buy the most expensive brand you can afford unless you have read this post. Otherwise, you might be buying another expensive gadget gathering dust on the shelves. For example, if you are just getting started or plan to use your juicer occasionally, then this post is definitely for you and you will not spend more than you have to. On the other hand, if you already know what type of produce you will be juicing and are looking for a long term kind of a relationship with your juicer, then you have come to the right place.

Consequently, to determine which juicer to buy, it's critical that you understand the differences with the three main types of juicers. The three main types are the Centrifugal, Masticating, and the Triturating juicer.

Centrifugal Juicer

Centrifugal Juicers are ideal for today's fast and healthy lifestye because they make fresh juice quick and easy. The motors range in speed from 3000 to 7000RPM which makes them the fastest of the three types of juicers. Of all the different types of juicers, the Centrifugal juicer is the cheapest and as a result makes an excellent choice with a limited budget. But Because of their affordable price, they are the most popular juicers in the market and in the stores.

The centrifugal juicers operate by spinning at a high speed and grating the fruits and vegetables to a pulp after which the juice is separated from the pulp. As a result of the high speed, they are often times much louder than the other types and produces a significant amount of heat. Also note, it's said that the heat from the high speed friction could possibly kill or damage the enzymes in your freshly squeeze juices. But please be aware, this is not a confirmation that this statement is a fact.

The best advantage of the centrifugal is its speed but it could also be its disadvantage as well. Along with the high speed comes a level of noise that could be disturbing for some people. But if you are looking for a glass of enzyme and vitamin rich juice in seconds, then this is the type of machine for you.

Masticating Juicer

One of the interesting features about the masticating juicers is the fact that it can juice wheatgrass unlike the centrifugal juicers which cannot break the fibers of the grass. The best example of this type of juicer would be your teeth which crush and grind food particles to allow further digestion. Who can forget being told hundreds of times to chew your food properly. And as we now know, this allows the nutrients to be properly extracted. With this type of juicer, you will extract maximum juice while minimizing waste.

The most significant benefit and feature of the masticating juicer is the fact that it requires less produce to create more juice. Over time, you will end up spending less on fruits and vegetable than you would spent to use with a centrifugal juicer. Masticating juicers are more efficient at juicing fruits and vegetable because it works at low speed with no spinning action. With this low speed, they are quieter, produces no friction, make less mess, and therefore easier to clean up.

An added benefit of the masticating juicer that's worth noting is the fact that you can use it to make baby food such as fresh pasta and nut butter.

Triturating Juicer

Although the Triturating Juicers are considered the most expensive Juicers, their benefits far outweighs their cost; they offer the best juice yield with any produce and it's the only juicer that can juice wheatgrass. These type of juicers operate by employing two metal counter rotating gears to crush the fruits and vegetable matter. It moves at an even slower speed than the masticating juicers but result in less oxidation from foam and consequent less destruction of the nutrients from heat.

Triturating juicers are considered to be the most efficient type of juicers available in the market. As a result, it can extract juice from just about any produce. Unlike the centrifugal juicer, where the pulp is often times wet, the pulp from the triturating is the driest in comparison to all the other types of juicers.

This type of juicer makes a great gift for mothers with young babies who are interested in serving natural food their babies. This is because they do more than just extract juice, it's also good for producing food for babies, nut butters, fruit sorbets, fresh pasta, bread sticks, and rice cakes.

Which is the Best Juicer? The answer to this question depends on the kinds of produce you are planning on juicing regularly. The fastest Juicers are the Centrifugal, but they are unable to handle leafy greens and wheatgrass as well as the other types. The hydraulic press juicers produce the best juice but are very expensive. The masticating and triturating juicers require more time physical effort to prepare the produces for juicing.

My recommendation would be to consider the following questions before buying a Juicer:
How much is available in your budget How easy is the machine to clean How noisy or how quiet is the machine How long is the warranty What features do you require in a machine What type of juice you want to extract

Overall, irrespective of which juicer you decide to purchase, the most important point I would like you to walk away with after reading this post is that juicing is essential. It's the fastest way to pact tremendous amounts of rich enzymes and vitamins all in one servings. The testimonials from juicing is unbelievable!

What is the difference between a centrifugal juicer and a juicer to chew?

!±8± What is the difference between a centrifugal juicer and a juicer to chew?

You will see that there are many brands and models of juicer on the market and can be a bit 'overwhelming to figure out what is best for your needs, especially if you choose for your first juicer. However, if things, all these different electric juicer in two basic types -

1) masticating juicer
2) centrifugal juicer

Centrifugal juicer

The famous Jack Lalanne Power Juicer machines are aExample of a centrifugal juicer. These machines operate at very high speed and juice very quickly. This makes them the ideal choice for those with limited time. The high speed of the motor rotates a circular disc blade style that looks very much like a cheese grater. The blade is made of many small sharp holes, which crushed fruit and vegetables to release the juice did. The high speed is also a centrifugal force that separates the pulp from the juice.

The main advantages of centrifugal juicerthat are easy to use and does not require a lot of muscle mass on the user names and are fast. They are also cheaper than a juicer machine. The addition of these professionals together makes this juicer a popular choice for beginners.

On the other hand, centrifugal juicers are very noisy because of the high speed with which they run. It also creates high-speed, friction and heat, the killing, some of the enzymes and antioxidants from fruits and vegetables.

ChewSqueezer

Juicer chewing are more expensive high-end juicer, juicing it popular with purists and those whose goal is to provide nutritious juice must be created. These juicers operate at very slow speed, the centrifugal juicer for comparison, so that they produce much less heat. Therefore, they retain much more of the enzymes and antioxidants in fruits and vegetables in nutrition nutritious health drink. Mastication juicer to make this possible, because there are aIn the rapid rotation of the blade, but a single speed system, and the juice pressed from fruit and vegetables, jars slowly. This also translates into a higher yield of centrifugal juicer juice.

The main disadvantages of juicers chew on is that they are a little 'more than muscle, get in contact with fruits and vegetables and this also increases the time it takes to make a juice. This juice machine is usually heavier.

* There is also another type of juicerthe need to continue chewing method one step further and uses two gears. This increases the yield of juice and a little 'easier for the nutrients that a little' better. These machines are known as a juicer juicer Juicer Gear Twin or grinding, and the most expensive type

Make banana cream with your Green Star or Champion Juicer Ice

!±8± Make banana cream with your Green Star or Champion Juicer Ice

I was the first time that I have all natural banana ice cream with my GreenStar juicer amazed! Let me explain.

The GreenStar Juicer is a heavy twin gear triturating juicer. What this means is that it has two interlocking gears that grind on fruits and vegetables and juices. On top of the gear to give a slide support, so that the juice through the system, while the pulp is ejected and tense. However, if you buy a juicer green star, also has aUse "Blank" binding instead of the screen. They use the empty facility for the production of things like peanut butter, sorbet, baby food and confectionery.

Champion juicer concluded a similar agreement with the only difference being that instead of double speed, the Champion juicer has a single screw style chewing movement.

I was curious to try the banana cream ice. I was told by a friend that the best way to take some ripe bananas, take completely out of the shell, put them in a freezer bagand then freeze for at least 24 hours. You must be frozen to ensure better coherence, making the green star.

So I was freezing my bananas, as described above. After being frozen for one day, I took and nourished in my GreenStar juicer attachment with the "empty" place. I was amazed and happy, because what came out was serving the look and texture of soft ice cream! In addition, it tasted great and had absolutely dairy, no fat, andno added sugar. I discovered that ice cream tastes very sweet.

I also learned a recipe for chocolate syrup, natural (so-called "black tar"), which does not use the chocolate, but the taste, appearance and consistency of Hershey chocolate syrup. I played a trick on my kids and an empty bottle filled with Hershey syrup, natural and were completely fooled - they never suspected and commented how good it tasted, is all natural and easy to do is this: ..

3 cups of natural maple syrup(Get the real stuff, not imitation maple syrup) 2 / 3 cup olive oil 2 tablespoons vanilla extract Carob powder 1 cup natural (may be at most grocery stores like Whole Foods or EarthFare be found)

Mix the ingredients in a mixer. Pour into a glass or other suitable container and refrigerate. Keep in the refrigerator because it will spoil if left out. If you make banana ice cream, you can pour a little 'of "black tar" syrup over the top and it's really delicious!

What should you look for when buying a Juicer

!±8± What should you look for when buying a Juicer

So you're making the wise decision to give juicing a try and enjoy all the health benefits it gives to think. It 'important to recognize that there is more to buying a juicer is easy to store only your neighborhood and buy a device that is for sale.

There are several factors you should look into. Finally, you have a juicer, easy to use and maintain, is able to produce high quality brews that you like and continue for a long timeto come. Here are four important factors to consider when buying a juicer:

• Cost

• Juicer Type

• Fire

• Customer Reviews

1 Costs

Juicers in price from $ 25 to more than $ 500. Obviously the more expensive devices have a lot of features, and while some of these features may seem clean, do you really need them? If you have a budget, of course, you can choose one of the cheaper models, but not your decision on pricealone. Analyzing some of the other features of the machine and choose the best value is within your price range. A machine that takes a long time ago, and produce more juice per pound of receipt will be the cheapest in the long run.

Type 2 juicer

There are various types of juicer that can best meet your needs so that everyone in detail, since this is the most important factor of all:

• centrifugal juicer

• Single-band chewingSqueezer

• Juicer vertical bite

• juicer grinding

Centrifugal juicer tend to be the most popular and affordable. To make this great for an entry level model and are the easiest to clean and maintain. If you're a department store or appliance store, then this is the type you'll probably see. If you go with a centrifugal juicer, be sure to check the warranty, since most are less than a year.

The way it works centrifugal juicer powerPieces of fruit and vegetables in the supply line and the machine grinds the food into mush. It will then turn the pulp against a screen and use centrifugal force to separate the juice in an insulated container.

For fruits and vegetables base, just a centrifuge centrifuge. The beauty of these machines is that they moved large pieces of fruit and vegetables in the device, especially if you have a wide mouth power, and does a quick job in the production ofFruit juice. However, you can not get the best performance is as the flesh is often wet, so that some waste, especially lawn and leafy vegetables. You need a high end device, do a good job of crushing herbs and vegetables such as spinach, lettuce, parsley and wheat grass.

Because of the high-speed rotation, the juice is exposed, causing a condition known as ventilation, oxygen bubbles in the juice are captured media. This means that to oxidize fasterjuice of embarrassment, and so is produced by a centrifugal juicer not long of a shelf. To summarize, it is a centrifugal juicer juicing machine and a basic and inexpensive, where you would not in the fibrous green vegetable juicing a lot and you are not going to keep a lot of juice for future use.

At a speed juicers chew with higher octane than their counterparts, centrifugal force and can be virtually any type of fruit or vegetables. The way I work, is asingle screw to chew the fibers of fruits and vegetables and the breakdown of plant cells, resulting in more juice, nutrients and fiber in the final product. Gear produce more yield per pound of product during the operation at speeds lower than the centrifugal juicer, which also leads to less foam and ventilation in the juice.

Single-speed juicer chewing are more expensive, but if you are a higher quality juice is nutritious and want a longer duration, this isthe type of spin you should get. If you're on a tight budget but want to get the most health benefits of squeezing as possible, the single gear juicer is that chewing is recommended.

Upright juicers chew are a cross between centrifugal and single gear juicer. They work with efficiency, low speed for a higher quality juice, but in a space-saving design similar to the centrifugal pump housed. Vertical juicers chew with a two-step process, first crushthe food to a pulp, then press the pulp to extract more juice. This is a relatively new type of juicer juicer so there are many established vertical chewing on the market.

To operate with a gear juicer twin grinding efficiency even higher single gear juicer. However, you will pay for this, because these species are the most expensive and cost hundreds of dollars. This juicer will receive the same benefits at a rate of juice with the exception of benefitsmultiplied, so if your budget is not a problem for you and the quality is, it would be better served with a citrus press grinding.

3 Mark

You should buy the manufacturer also take into consideration when looking for a juicer. You want a company that stands behind their brand of choice. This means that the device you should choose at least one year warranty, so if there are problems with him at this time, they are lucky to be inadequate. I saw an article on Amazon, which cost almost $ 500, but onlyis guaranteed for 90 days. Needless to say, I'm not going to be making a purchase in the near future.

In addition, there are brands that are known for their juicers and other kitchen appliances. For example, Jack LaLanne Juicer seems solely focused on data, while Breville is known to make a series of high-quality equipment. You can not go wrong with either. Other trademarks are considered Black & Decker Champion, Hamilton Beach and progressive international.

4 ClientReviews

Finally, you can search the major online retail stores and commercial sites like Amazon, Shopping.com, and Best Buy customer feedback and reviews. The machine you should go with a rating of at least 80% (ideally high), and negative reviews should be above all the small things that really affect you, as articulated by the auditor. He also reviews more a product review tends to be more accurate product.

These are the four most important things youwhen you buy a juicer should be sought. First want to choose the right type of juicer on budget. Whenever high performance and a maximum amount of nutrients is a major concern of the product, you do not want to choose a centrifugal juicer. Finally, you must use a reliable brand that is well established in the production of fruit juices and products are well received by their customers.

The mistake that a lot of people make when buying a juicer weighs too much of theirRegardless of the price. A juice press, which is three times more expensive than others, but is made of stainless steel and produces a 20% increase in yield will acquire a much better price. Good luck in finding your ideal juicer!
